The fact that Winter is Coming may be true as well as being a popular meme, but there is generally very little sign of cold bleak August days at this traditional first run of the Bendigo University Cross County season.
The sun shines, and conversations sparkle with excitement and nervous energy as old faces and new are welcomed back to the excitement of a trundle through the bush on the north side of One Tree Hill.
This is the first short flat run for the season.
You should be aware that no club runs are really short or flat.
This run also contains a hill that some super heroes to hill sprints on. Perhaps you will also set a National Record in the marathon if you give it a little bit of a nudge.
