Mel Douglass

Coming up on Saturday 13th July is Pearces Road Rally. This is a sealed handicap event where everyone starts off together in each race at the usual times, handicaps are then applied after so ribbons are not for first across the line. One thing you can be guaranteed of in Mandurang Valley is there will be some good hills.

The return of this race sees a new route of 7.6km rather than 7.5km with an additional 3m of elevation gain with some lovely single track replacing the Pearces Road section. The 7.6km event will be a mass start with everyone starting at 2pm, please arrive early and endouvor to be registered by 1:45pm. At the conclusion of this event after 3pm, will be the 1km event, followed by the 3km event and 500m dash. Again, all mass starts so please aim to be registered by 2:45pm.

Directions – Travel out to Mandurang Road, turn right into Nankervis Rd then left into Pearces Rd meeting at intersection with Diggers Road.

Afternoon tea is on as usual. Please bring a plate of afternoon tea to share and a thermo of hot water. Tea, Coffee, Milo and sugar are supplied by the club. We will need someone to volunteer for Milk duty please.
