Anyone who is going BUAC has been asked to provide 4 volunteers to help with regos. You can still run just need to get there early. Prez Ross is co-ordinating has a message on BUAC FB if you could respond to this or email him thanks.

Last week

A glorious sunny afternoon in the bush at Maiden Gully for the final 2018 club run for aggregate points and generally glorious conditions everywhere for BUAC runners to enjoy the trails at Shepparton, the Grampians and south-east Queensland. Congrats to all with the main outcome being Andy confirming on the radio on Monday night that he is targeting Zatopek 10k Thursday December 10 at Lakeside. Great news lock it into your social calendars this was a top night out last year, sort of like a BUAC Christmas party.

Also this week

Sunday at Burnley is AV XCR half marathon day – a few BUAC long distance lovers will be running. Matt Schepisi is running in Sydney and Danny Burgess is doing another marathon.

Next week

BUAC half marathon festival at the usual tranquil bush location out behind the Bendigo Golf Club. Online entry is free for club members.
Entry on the day is fine however entry fees apply as follows:
Adults: $15.00
Children (Under 16): $8.00 Students: $8.00.
All the usual event distances apply – 1km, 3km, 7km, 14km & 21km.
Note that the 3km & 1km will start earlier than a normal Saturday, about 2.15pm and we will hold an early presentation (about 3pm) for these events so kids don’t have to wait around for the 21k to finish. As usual remember double afternoon tea from members if you can.

Craig Green

Craig Creen has announced he is leaving Aths Bendigo to run the Maldon Youth Camp. The past few years Craig has been a fixture at the track and a very very hardworking manager and organiser putting in many hours at weekends and night-times to ensure whatever particular event was on ran smoothly. Top effort Craig you will be greatly missed. On the plus side he could maybe mark a club run at Mt. Tarrengower for us next year..

BUAC Presentation Night

BUAC presentation night is locked and loaded for Saturday September 22 at the Botanical Hotel White Hills. Reason for the change from the Foundry is we don’t get charged a hire fee. Botanical is giving us a corner of their dining room. Please RSVP so we have a fairly solid idea of numbers there is an invitation on BUAC FB to respond to.
